A Fantasy Turn-based Tactical RPG, Forged of Blood places the fate of an entire world on your every decision. Engage in challenging tactical combat as you find your place in a morally grey fantasy world and decide whether the ends will ultimately justify your actions.

Key Features:

  • Tactical Fantasy: Take to the field with sword and shield or cast powerful spells in deep turn-based tactical combat against monsters and men.
  • Classless Warfare: With 9 unique weapons and a vast magic system, Forged of Blood lets you build your characters any way you want – without being constrained by the typical tank/DPS/healer roles.
  • Science in Magic: Explore the freedom and mysteries of one of the most complex and unique magic systems ever attempted in video games.
  • Kingdom at War: Command up to three parties of heroic characters on the strategic layer in your fight to reclaim the empire you lost.
  • Meaningful Choice: Your choices matter. From character building to your choices in the game narrative, your decisions will reverberate across the Strategic and Tactical layers of the game.
  • Your ends; your means: In a world of grays and unique perspectives, it is up to you to decide what is “right” and “wrong” for the future of Attiras. Forged of Blood will introduce a new Tri-axis Personality Plot (TAPP) system in lieu of the traditional Good vs. Evil scale common in most RPG settings.

THE CRITICAL FORGE TEAM

Critical Forge is a young studio with a old soul, looking to make games we grew up playing. We are a small independent team based out of Jakarta, Indonesia currently in production of a fantasy tactical RPG: Forged of Blood.

Fathur, Programmer

A lover of figure drawings and a gifted illustrator, Fathur brings with him over a decade’s worth of game development experience and over a dozen projects under his belt. Trading in pencil for the keyboard, Fathur is a Critical Forge programmer with an affinity for creating development frameworks and tools.

All-time favorite games:
Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, Disgaea

Igor, Creative Director

Taking the circuitous route to game development, Igor is a former ad-man, filmmaker, and current start-up junkie. He heads up the overall creative direction at Critical Forge, while also acting as a jack-of-all-trades to fill any marketing, writing, and food related needs at the studio.

All-time favorite games:
Battlefield 1942, Command & Conquer Generals, Mount and Blade: Warband, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2.

Jennifer, Modeler

The youngest member of the Forge, Jenny entered the industry right out of college and has been continuously building on her experience as she works her way through the industry. Bringing her youthful exuberance to the Forge, she works hard to bring our game worlds to life in 3D.

All-time favorite games:
Minecraft, Terraria, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2, Phoenix Wright series, and Warframe.

Joe, Chief Geek

Joe got his toe into game development after an offhand remark from a friend two years ago. After assembling the Critical Forge team, he spends his time providing a gentle hand to keep the production on track and breaking out the occasional co-worker from a locked bathroom (SWAT style).

All-time favorite games:
X-Com, Tactics Ogre: Let us cling together, Master of Magic, Alpha Centauri, Planescape: Torment, Defender’s Quest: Valley of the Forgotten, Guild Wars 2.

Milo, Game Director

From tabletop to desktop, Milo is a hardcore gamer who found himself with the chance to transition from academia to game development a few years ago. Drawing on a decade’s worth of experience teaching the mathematical modeling of systems, he leads the development of the game’s’ core mechanics, hoping that the models predict reality.

All-time favorite games:
Starcraft: Broodwar, Populous, Baldur’s Gate I and II, Everquest, Guild Wars 2, This War of Mine, Witcher 3, and D&D 2nd Edition and Pathfinder.

After graduating, he started his career as a game designer before moving into programming and eventually taking on the lead role at Critical Forge.

All-time favorite games:
Star Wars: Jedi Knight series, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic series, Final Fantasies 9, 12, and Tactics, Baldur’s Gate Series, and Mass Effect series.
